about me.
My name is Ellen Diment Rutherford.
I graduated from a BA Hons Course in Makeup and Prosthetics for Performance, at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London in 2015.
I am currently an assistant part time at Myla and Davis Hair Salon in Brixton. I am also taking part in training in styling, cut and colour.
I have got experience in: Sculpting latex; cap plastic; foam latex and silicon moulds; ageing make-ups; wig and postiche making and applying; period hair; prosthetic sfx
makeup scarring and bruising; fibre glass moulds and 2D and 3D design for stage and screen.
However most importantly I love working with others in whatever setting I find myself in. This includes: for editorials and campaigns, at the National Theatre; the V&A museum; working on advertising and music videos for companies such as SFX Productions, Bullion Productions and Sony Music; or waiting tables at restaurants. Many people have commented on my ability to communicate and work with others, in different situations and environments.
My graduate piece was a conceptual film, in which I had to source an actor, filmmaker and location. This enabled me to showcase my skills and abilities in prosthetics, make-up and wig making.
